The ISERE

In France, the valley of the Tarentaise, famous for its ski resorts (La Plagne, Les Arcs), actually hides another treasure: the Isère, the hotspot for canoe-kayak competitions as French and World championships take place there. The river has a good flow and is not too technical, which makes its rapids attractive to beginners too. Fizzy and fun, it’s perfect for a safe initiation to all white water sports. As it is quite far from Geneva, a full day is needed.

Season :	May to September
Stretch :	from Bourg St Maurice to Centron (20 km)
Duration :	approximately 3 hours on the river (10 hours with transportation)
Difficulty :	classe II - IV
Minimum age :	12
Activities :	raft, canoe-raft, kayak-raft.

Meeting point: 7am at our base in Veyrier
Return trip included.

Bring a picnic (lunch is planned halfway down the river)
Minimum number of participants: 14
