In France, the valley of the Tarentaise, famous for its ski resorts (La Plagne, Les Arcs), actually hides another treasure: the Isère, the hotspot for canoe-kayak competitions as French and World championships take place there. The river has a good flow and is not too technical, which makes its rapids attractive to beginners too.
Fizzy and fun, it’s perfect for a safe initiation to all white water sports. As it is quite far from Geneva, a full day is needed.
